#NationalWalkingDay

Incorporate walking into your everyday tasks and encourage physical activity!

First Wednesday of April

What Does #NationalWalkingDay Mean?

National Walking Day is observed on the first Wednesday of April and was created by the American Heart Association to promote physical activity. Walking is the simplest form of exercise and one of the most effective - just 30 minutes a day can significantly improve cardiovascular health. The day encourages everyone to lace up their shoes and get moving, no gym membership required.

How to Use #NationalWalkingDay

Post a photo from your walk - a scenic route, your step count, or your walking buddy. Companies can encourage employees to take walking meetings or lunchtime walks. Health and fitness accounts get strong engagement by sharing walking tips or route recommendations.
